Skull Whitening

All skulls that we whiten are treated in a food grade 12% hydrogen peroxide and water solution. Being food safe means that the peroxide will contain no other additives or stabilizer’s. Hydrogen peroxide is used as it acts as an oxidizing agent and works by pulling electrons from other compounds that hold atoms together, this in turn causes the colored molecules to disintegrate, this is what results in its whitened appearance.

As well as cleaning the peroxide also acts as a sanitizing agent, killing bacteria to help remove and prevent any unpleasant smells.
